The place is surrounded by a high electric fence, which stuns the zombies as they run into it, giving her enough time to... uh, dispose of them before the stun wears off. She's reluctant to really deal with what's going on - if she sees it less, she can just pretend.

Jared Padalecki as Dawson

Dawson somehow comes upon Norah & her cousin, wanting help with (something, I'm not sure yet). He's a little too optimistic for her, too willing to talk about all that's going on and she's not happy about agreeing to help him at first. But, he somehow grows on her - eventually a little too much.

I'm thinking about Elle Fanning /Abigail Breslin for the cousin, but idk, it's a minor part. Presenting with a rash, blindness, and a strange dementia, it kills more than half of the US population. The government, in a panic, pulls all people that have contracted the disease out of hospitals and morgues. The dead are all buried in various mass graves in the middle of nowhere. The infected and dying are pushed into quarantines, which are located in guarded bases similar to Area 51. Strangely enough, grave by grave, some of the dead are starting to rise. Most of the dead remain dead in the graves, but some crawl their way out and go on to terrorize the still-living. The people that remain still uninfected scatter themselves, some breaking off into small communities and become small cities, and others take their remaining loved ones and choose to distance themselves from people.
This story is really about a boy - who lost everything but is still strangely optimistic - and a girl - who never thought anything good could come out of this pandemic. He is searching for something, and she's along for the ride - though it soon becomes less about what he's looking for, and more about their love and trying to find a future amongst this chaos.

The key is not to panic.

i'm so frustrated :// i can't decide which idea to do for nanowrimo this year. i mean, i'm between two good ones (both which i'll eventually do, probably), but still. it's just frustrating because i keep switching between them.

i just wish there was some magic way to decide between them for good. i just don't want to start & totally get stuck and have to scrap what i've done and catch up in order to win.
